Universal Studios Florida has six sound stages and two event stages. Most are equipped with an innovative trolley beam system for total flexibility to shoot any type of production including live, audience-based shows featuring Universal Orlando Resort guests. The stages are also designed to accommodate any lighting power requirements and are equipped with silent air conditioning and computerized digital AC controls for efficiency, continuous shooting and a quick exhaust system for special effects. The areas adjacent to the sound stages are covered by a canopy to protect against inclement weather. Stages are also equipped with compressed air for power tool operation.
Studios 19 and 25 are designed as broadcast production studios. However, it retains many of the design characteristics as the traditional stages at Universal. Studio 19 is a 16,500 square foot studio with a trolley beam system. It has, on the floor, a 150 amp cam lock power supply with an additional 400 amp located in the catwalk. Studio 19 is ideally suited for a number of productions with support facilities within the studio such as dressing rooms with a shower, hair and make-up rooms, wardrobe and talent holding area with kitchen support.
Studio 25 is approximately 11,000 square feet. This studio has a number of support facilities including hair and makeup and a unique sound lock design with room for catering.
