Stages 18 & 19
Stages 18 and 19 are 16,500 square feet each and share 2 BVP-370 CCD studio cameras, 3 BVP-70IS CCD studio/field cameras, 1 Stanton Triangle Jib, and 1 Sony UVW 100 Baby Beta. The BVP-70 cameras can be quickly reconfigured for field use with dockable BVV-5 SP recorders.

The sound stages are equipped with 100 custom self-climbing DeSisti moving battens. These motorized lighting supports allow sections of the lighting grid to be quickly lowered to the floor level for lighting instrument installation and then raised to any height for use. All instruments can be fully focused by pole from the stage floor despite the 35' overall distance from stage floor to grid!

In the Production Control Room a Grass Valley Group 48-input Kalypso component switcher with the ability to quickly recall special switching requirements for individual shows. A two-channel Krystal Digital Video Effects System allows video effects and manipulation. Two channels of Chyron MAX Character Generator and three channels of Leitch Still File electronic stillstore are available. Forty-five color picture monitors create an impressive monitor wall.

In the Audio Control Room, the main audio console is an AMS/Neve Libra Live digital audio mixing console. An adjacent announces booth is used for voice-over, sound effects recordings and foley work. We are also equipped with two Sony Mini Disk player/recorders (1) Digicart and up to (5) Tascam DA-88 digital recording machines.

Videotape recording is possible on a variety of tape formats in the Master Control Room; program production is mastered and edited on 8 Sony DVW/A500 Digital Betacoms. One BVW-75 Betacam SP recorders are provided for camera isolation recording and editing of EFP and studio material. Two BVU-950 U-matic recorders provide for archival playback and off-line recording. We also have five Tascam DA-88 Digital Recording machines for audio isolation of audio tracks.

Central distribution of four channel audio, video, timecode and key signals is provided by a PESA America 80x96 Routing Switcher; a variety of routing control panels at every operator location allow easy switching of all in-house signals. Grass Valley Group audio and video distribution amplifiers are used to maintain and equalize signals levels throughout the facility.

A fully outfitted RTS intercom system is used to provide intercommunication between all technical areas; Model 802 and RMS-300 stations are used extensively as well and the new, compact MCE-325 four channel intercom station (12 total channels).

Stage 25
Soundstage 25 is ideally suited to house a broadcast or media operation and also has the capability to accommodate single or multi day use of the video package and variety of state of the art fully lit sets. Stage 25 currently houses three "permanent" sets including a fully functional kitchen set. The existing talk show/living room sets have flexibility to redress for specific production requirements. Photos for marketing purposes are available under the Digital Library folder/Stage 25. The video package includes: Fully equipped control rooms with GVG 300 video switcher, six studio cameras, 21 foot jib camera, two channel chyron, still store, 48 channel audio console, microphone complement, digital and analog videotape recorders. The marketing effort for this facility will be based on some national print advertising, however will rely heavily on: Website support (USFPG and 22A), Production websites (Greenroom Orlando, Film in Florida, Kool Kids, Production Hub), Industry meetings such as AWRT, WIF, IVTA, where monthly meetings will be held within this facility. An industry open house of this facility, Stages 18/19 and vendors could be a great support in getting this word out. An artwork gallery may support this event. PR and Publicity: Local stories will be developed by HMG with Orlando Business Journal and Central Florida Business (Orlando Sentinel), Create, and other Central and Florida consumer publications. An ongoing Press Release campaign (3 in development) will announce the facilities, announce tenants/contracts and announce finished productions. Stage 25 facilities will be heavily promoted on the USFPG website as a flash announcement as well as featured in "What's New". Print Advertising will include: Direct mailer (one piece to select potential advertisers). This piece is aligned with the national advertising and web creative.
