Renovation Complete on The Production Group Theater

In an ongoing effort to keep the production facilities at Universal Studios Florida state-of-the-art, the Universal Studios Florida Production Group (USFPG) recently completed renovation of the original screening theater located on the first floor of the Producer's Building (22A). The newly renovated theater will be dedicated to the memory of Norman "Norm" Rice, the man responsible for overseeing the construction of the production facilities and managing the facilities from 1988 to 1998.
"Over the years, The Production Group Theater has played host to hundreds of producers for screening dailies and films," states Pamela Tuscany, Vice-President / General Manager of USFPG. "We want to make sure we are always offering the latest technology to our clients for their production needs. We also wanted to take this opportunity to honor the man who helped develop the production facilities and build the Central Florida film community."
The 38-seat Production Group Theater received all new high-back, rocking seats with cup holders, new flooring, and a new DaLite Cinema Contour Screen with custom high-definition fabric. The new equipment includes:
- Epson Laser Projector
- Surround Sound Cinema Speaker System
- Cinema Audio Video Receiver Switching System and Processor JBL Cinema 7.a Channel Digital Surround
- Sound Processor
- HDMI/VGA and Data Ports
- 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Player
- AMX Touch Panel Control System
